Every school day matters.
For children living in vulnerable circumstances, missing weeks or months of education can quickly become a much bigger setback. A child who stays home because of unpaid fees or missing school necessities can gradually lose confidence, fall behind academically and eventually stop believing that education is possible.
The boy we recently supported was at risk of becoming one of those children.
Because donors stood with us, we were able to intervene and help him return to school. His experience has strengthened our determination to find other children facing the same barriers.
There are boys and girls who are waiting for someone to notice their situation. Some need school fees. Others need uniforms, shoes, books, meals, counselling or basic support that makes returning to school possible.
Our work is about finding these children, understanding the barriers they face and creating practical pathways back into education.
The impact can be transformative: a child moves from isolation to participation, from uncertainty to hope, and from being left behind to preparing for the future.
We cannot reach every vulnerable child alone. With committed donors beside us, we can rescue more children from prolonged school absence and help them reclaim their education.
