The world children are preparing to enter is increasingly digital. Yet many vulnerable children have limited opportunities to learn how technology works or how they can use it to improve their education and future prospects.
F SSIBU Mission Foundation is responding by creating computer skilling opportunities for children and young people we serve. Our program provides learners with practical exposure to computers while helping them develop confidence in using technology for learning and personal development.
Computer literacy can support children in many areas of life. It can help them conduct educational research, prepare documents, communicate, access learning resources, organize information, and develop skills that may become useful as they progress into secondary education, vocational training, higher education, or employment.
Our approach emphasizes hands-on learning. Rather than simply talking about technology, learners are given opportunities to practice using computers and gradually develop familiarity with digital tools.
For children from vulnerable households, this exposure can be especially meaningful because access to computers may be limited at home or school.
Donors can help us expand the number of children who benefit by supporting computers, training materials, furniture, electricity and power solutions, connectivity, software, tutors, and equipment maintenance.
We want children to see technology not as something distant or reserved for others, but as a tool they can learn to use responsibly and productively.
