A child’s educational journey is strongly influenced by the support and communication she receives at home. F SSIBU Mission Foundation seeks to strengthen parent–child education dialogue sessions that encourage families to communicate openly about school attendance, academic challenges, responsibilities, aspirations, and the pressures children may experience.
Under the Keep Her in School program, these sessions can create safe opportunities for girls and caregivers to discuss education together. Parents and guardians can be encouraged to listen to children’s concerns, recognize signs of disengagement, celebrate educational progress, and provide practical encouragement. Girls can also learn how to communicate their needs respectfully and seek support when challenges arise.
Donor support can help cover community meeting costs, educational materials, facilitation, outreach, transportation, and follow-up activities. This investment helps F SSIBU bring families together around a shared goal: creating conditions that enable children to remain engaged in education.
The activity recognizes that keeping a girl in school is a shared responsibility. Teachers, parents, community leaders, organizations, and children themselves all have a role to play.
When donors support these conversations, they help strengthen the relationships surrounding vulnerable children. A contribution can help create a home environment where a girl feels heard, encouraged, and supported in pursuing her education. Through stronger family communication, F SSIBU seeks to help girls overcome challenges earlier and remain connected to their educational goals.
