Keeping children in school requires more than supporting them inside the classroom. F SSIBU Mission Foundation seeks to strengthen school-to-home follow-up visits for vulnerable girls whose attendance, learning progress, or family circumstances may place them at risk of leaving school.
Through the Keep Her in School program, community outreach workers can visit families, speak with caregivers, understand challenges affecting a child’s education, and encourage stronger communication between homes and schools. These visits can help identify issues such as prolonged absence, family responsibilities, learning difficulties, unsafe conditions, or other pressures that may interfere with a child’s education.
Donor support can help cover transportation, communication, community outreach materials, documentation, and coordination costs required to conduct regular follow-up visits. Support can also strengthen the ability of F SSIBU staff and community volunteers to maintain contact with vulnerable children and their caregivers.
These visits create an important connection between the child, family, school, and organization. Instead of waiting until a girl has completely dropped out, F SSIBU can engage families early and work toward practical solutions that support continued education.
A donor’s contribution can therefore help make early intervention possible. Each visit represents an opportunity to listen, understand, encourage, and respond. Through sustained school-to-home engagement, donors help strengthen the support system surrounding vulnerable children and contribute to keeping girls connected to education.
