Your support is helping women like Dakhu Bai break through barriers and build a brighter future for themselves and their families.
Dakhu Bai lives in the rural village of Karnali in southern Rajasthan. She is a hardworking woman, a daily wage laborer, a small-scale farmer, and a mother. With her husband migrating in search of work, she has been managing everything alone; her home, her fields, and society’s expectations.
Life wasn’t easy. She earned very little from farming, as she depended on traditional crops and had limited knowledge about better techniques.
Then, Dakhu Bai found Seva Mandir—a place where she could learn, share, and grow.
Through your support, she received training in modern, sustainable farming. She learned how to grow marigold flowers - a high-value crop. With hope in her heart and the courage to try something new, she began her journey of change.
Today, Dakhu Bai earns ten times more by selling marigolds.
She has developed a new farm, expanded her nursery, and enrolled her children in school in Udaipur. She now stands as a role model in her community—showing other women what’s possible when support, opportunity, and determination come together.
One woman. One safe space. One opportunity.
That’s all it took to start this incredible journey.
