A catastrophic earthquake devastated the area at Syria and Turkey's border on February 6, 2023. The earthquake occurred in the midst of winter with a Richter scale value of 7.8, with another one occurring soon after again at 7.7, both causing extensive damage and numerous fatalities. Many people, notably the internally displaced and at-risk girls residing in Northwest Syria, have been left without houses, shelter, or even the most basic necessities as a result of the earthquake.
We are forever grateful to you, our supporters, for helping the girls affected by this tragic event. As you are aware, Project Soar has chosen to concentrate assistance efforts on helping vulnerable and internally displaced Soar girls in Syria who have been impacted by the earthquake. With the help of the Blossom Hill Foundation, we have already provided aid to 47 girls, but we need your support to help another 119 vulnerable Syrian Soar Girls. As part of the relief efforts, we are offering menstruation kits, food baskets, counseling, warm clothing, and blankets. The girls' lives are dependent on having access to these necessities, especially during the cold winter months.
We are immensely grateful for your generosity in helping the girls in Syria affected by this situation. Your contributions will make a significant impact on the lives of these girls and will help them in the aftermath of the devastating earthquakes.
