Villagers empowered!

By Amos Ajisekola | Project leader

"Our palm oil products used to recieve an unimpressive attention from the buyers as a result of poor quality due to lack of access to good water source, but now we have tremendous improvements on both quality and quantity". This was the response of madam S.A, the representative of Babaegbe village women, during our unannounced visit on impact assessment to the community. While  explaining further, lots of their palm fruits used to waste due to lack of water for processing,  especially during the dry season, but now there is sufficient water to process all. Thus a huge income.

Another villager, who spoke on how the borehole project by Oak Rural Health Organization has impacted them positively said, the entire villagers used to appear untidy and usually stink. Countless number of times have encountered water related ailments and the cost of treatment has drained their purse. Presently,  they have enough water to drink and bath with. These and many more were the testimonies of these villagers as the joyous looks on their faces tells more.

The villagers of Babaegbe in Oyo state Nigeria is just one ot of the numerous, encountering similar problems. We have recieved a lot of call for from those villages after witnessing the successful execution of Babaegbe water project. Making the world a better place for the underserved communities is our priority. We cannot do this without the kind heartedness of our donors. You may be willing to support a similar project run by Oak Rural Health Organization and make more people smile. Kindly support us and make the world a better place!
