“Amara Sabai” run “Shib Sankar sisu Niketan” a unique project aiming to address the need of quality education for the kids of disadvantaged group in a highly remote area of the country that is southern most part of West Bengal, called Sundarbans. Our aim is to provide with proper education like environment, infrastructure with modern technique so that the children of a distressed area get access to proper educational support for their well being. As a result we are able to stop school dropout and child labour to a great extent.

This is an ongoing project and quality education is a matter of concern and development of proper educational infrastructure as well.

We with the help of donors and well wishers trying hard to achieve target but because of resource poor community and scarcity of fund prevent us in doing so, thus we have to miles to go.

By this reporting period with other activities we are developing accommodation for the education centre and construction is still going on but slowly because of fund constraint.

Examination of the student held timely and terminal exam is going on.

Though we set up target to complete the work for which an amount of estimated Rs 22, 47,000 but the collection amount is far below the expectation. However, the work is in progress slowly but steadily.

We fervently appeal to the donor and well wishers to stand by us for the good of a distressed area for their sustainable development.

FOURTH REPORT ON QUALITY EDUCATION FOR KIDS OF DISADVANTAGED GROUP:-

The education programme run by “Amara Sabai” with an eye to provide quality education for the Kids of disadvantaged community with all means of modern amenities so that the target group may not lack behind of the main stream and have all the opportunity to manifest their talent as the good and sensitive citizen of the country. For the reason mentioned above we are keen to develop congenial educational atmosphere with all amenities like play ground, safe drinking water, good class room, better sanitation facilities, learning materials, sports equipment, audio visual system, computer and other accessories, sound system and so on.

Though we are expecting more donations for the reason stated above, but the collected amount was not at per our expectation and far below the expected amount. However, we are trying hard to achieve the target thus from the collected amount from GlobalGiving and other sources started construction work of School Building with hope that more donation will be collected from our well-wishers. We are expecting the first phase of the construction work will be completed by the May 2019.

Secondly the annual examination is over during the month of December and new academic session has been started from January.

Text Book and learning meterials have been distributed among the students.

Annual celebration of the students has been conducted.
