Education programme through Shib Sankar Sishu Niketan run by “ Amara Sabai” in a highly remote area of the country i.e. Sundarbans targeting the kids of the disadvantaged group with an eye to provide with the quality education with modern technique and congenial educational environment. The target set by us is harder than that of other part of the country because of various reasons like want of proper accommodation, modern learning materials, play ground, children’s museum, library, power supply, running water, communication etc. and above all skilled and educated teachers. Considering all those things and the adverse situation we are trying our best to fulfill the lacuna and to bridge the gap in true sense of the term.
We are constructing building to accommodate the student in a proper manner with modern facilities. We have built up a library all by ourselves. We have procured computer and audio visual units for the same in spite of facing severe fund constraint and trying to provide all other facilities. As a result the education centre achieved reputation in the area and success to a large extent.
During the period under report we have completed part of the building construction and undertook other part of the unfinished work. Annual examination is completed in the month of December and 210 students successfully passed with very good result. To be special mentioned here that 14 students from our institution appeared before the scholarship examination organized by Primary Education Board of West Bengal Government and everyone achieved success and best one was from our student.
The students celebrated twenty third January the birth day of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, organized cultural activities and annual sports programme during first week of February 2020. All the students took part in thirty events to culture their talent as well as physical well being. Few snaps are attaché with this report along with the progress report.
We are facing severe financial constraint to maintain the programme in a proper manner thus making appeal to all donors and well wishers to stretch their hand and stand by us so that we may help the disadvantaged student in need.
