Online education is a challenge for everyone.

However, children and adolescents who are working in the streets are at a great disadvantage; on the one hand, the conditions of exclusion in which they already live are accentuated, and on the other hand, they do not have computer equipment, cell phones or tablets or internet connection to be able to take their classes online, do their homework or hand in their work.

At ednica, thanks to your support we have not stopped and we are working closely with them to prevent them from dropping out of school.

One achievement of this work was the design, development and digital publication of a magazine produced by the children that we invite you to follow and disseminate (it is only available in Spanish).

We are grateful for each donation and invite you to continue promoting the right to education of children and youth working on the streets of Mexico City.

During these months, the return to school in Mexico has been at a distance.

The boys, girls and teenagers who work on the streets of Mexico City, have serious academic and technological lags to cope with this online educational modality.

However, in ednica we are working very hard so that, we can open spaces with computer equipment for their use, accompaniment for the development of their tasks and work and we have maintained our educational axes through sessions, first virtual and then face to face of reading and writing skills and logical mathematical thinking. Taking care of all health protection measures.

We invite you to continue supporting us so that these children do not abandon their studies in these difficult moments. Thank you for your trust and generosity.

Before the health emergency, the boys, girls, adolescents and families who work on the streets and who are the target of this project, were in conditions of poverty, affecting their food security; now with the health emergency, the situation has worsened even more, since, being dependent on the informal economy, their income has been affected, which has repercussions on their diet and on the care of their physical and emotional health.

They come from contexts where their right and access to health is nil or very limited, due to unhealthy living conditions, poor nutrition, exposure to pollution in the streets, as well as their few habits of self-care for their health.

With the health emergency, we have not neglected our population. On the one hand, we keep in touch with the children's families to monitor their health situation and support them with a pantry and some donations that we receive, since their economy has been affected by the decrease in sales on the streets, which is what they keep.

Similarly, through the use of ICTs, we have kept in touch to develop actions of emotional and educational support and accompaniment to solve this health and economic crisis.

Thank you for your invaluable support.

In ednica, we defend and promote human rights so that children and young people can build a dignified life project.

We are very happy to be 30 years old. Our greatest satisfaction is knowing that many boys, girls, adolescents, young people and their families, in a street situation, have managed to build success stories and have an opportunity to change their situation.

Again, as an example, we share with you the testimony of one of the girls who attends our community center in Colonia Morelos in Mexico City.

My name is Cristal.

I am eleven years old and I am in the sixth year of primary school. I will soon enter secondary school, although I am a bit scared.
In ednica, I've learned addition, fractioning, how to solve math problems, quantity composition, etc.
It has helped me in school because now I understand math more.
I have also learned to improve my reading and writing, sometimes we read aloud, some things about writing, spelling, and above all, I have learned how to understand better what I read, that is called "reading comprehension".

We know that this would not be possible without the support of those who have joined us in being allies in our work. Thank you for your trust!
