In the communes of Medellin, Colombia, the situation of adolescent mothers living in extreme poverty is especially difficult and challenging. These communes are urban areas with high rates of violence and lack of opportunities. In this context, adolescent mothers are forced to assume responsibility by becoming mothers at an early age, which further complicates their socioeconomic situation and they are forced to put their studies aside.
The extreme poverty in these communities means that teenage mothers do not have access to quality education, which prevents them from accessing opportunities for development and self-improvement. Likewise, the lack of economic resources may limit the vocational and technical training options available to these young mothers. This can hinder their access to skilled, well-paying jobs, thus perpetuating the cycle of poverty.
Together we will ensure that teenage mothers have personal and professional development that will allow them to contribute to their futures. That is why we offer them a comprehensive education in technical training as marketing assistants, software development, commercial and service advisors, and administrators with an emphasis on health, they acquire transversal skills that allow them to be more competitive in the market so that they can succeed and make their life projects a reality.
Join our cause and allow 210 teenage mothers to have access to quality education, to be empowered, and to have economic independence. Let's build a more hopeful world, where every teenage mother in Medellin has the opportunity to access a formal education because this helps them to have economic autonomy, development opportunities and break cycles of poverty, improving the quality of life of their children and family.
