Educate, protect and nurture 500 young Ugandans

Your support continues to improve opportunities for young people in our partner communities. It is especially important now, when governments in wealthier countries are turning away from international solidarity.

Our focus this year is supporting six college students in their final year of study, advancing pupils from primary school to high school, completing construction of new classrooms in Bulobi, and developing community-based education projects for young people.

We work to the principles of Asset-Based Community Development. Every individual that benefits from your donations is committed to returning their skills to the community and working for the benefit of others. Nursing, law, social work, and education graduates will add to the community skill base and extend the volunteer team.

Education builds community resiliance, strengthens networks, and lays a foundation for the future.

Your support has resulted in another female university graduate from our young leaders’ team, 9,000 meals for vulnerable children, and support for the youth music programme that raises money for Busiliwa Junior School.

Young women from impoverished communities are particularly excluded from higher education. Thanks to your donations, we can support and safeguard them as they develop their skills and confidence at college.

We are also developing vocational training for youth who have never attended school, and completing another four primary classrooms.

You have also contributed directly to the health of young people, allowing them to access medication for malaria and typhoid. In one case, it was life-saving.
