Akasa has just been sponsored for the whole year! A donor decided to be an advocate for Road to Freedom Scholarships and take it on as a goal for this year to raise the cost of one yearly scholarship. She is committed to raising $3,000 in the year 2016 to sponsor one child.
This fee provides medical care, a uniform, 3x meals a day, clean water to drink, safety and an amazing education. The donor who has agreed to sponsor Akasa for one year plans to rally her book club members and soccer parents, her yoga class, and co- workers to rally them all to chip in. Or if there are any small business owners that can promote a "round up your receipt" program to benefit kids in education and donate that overage. A little bit of money pooled together does a lot! It directly affects these kids lives. RFS's dedicated US team are all volunteers, so you can rest assured and confident that all of the money raised goes to helping these children! More children need a sponsorship like Akasa. Can you consider advocating to raise money and commit to sponsoring one child? You can receive photos and letters from your student.
No one has ever become poor by giving. - Anne Frank
Akasa along with many of our students have worked hard to get good grades and are determined to make the most from this opportunity they have been given, to go to school. It has been a challenge for our team to help empower these girls and teach them to understand they are worthy of an education, and DESERVE to go to school like all children!
