A Year of Learning, Courage, and Hope

By Abdulrazak Madi | Project Leader

At the end of a school year, a student does more than close a notebook.

They look back at every lesson they attended, every question they dared to ask, every exam they prepared for, and every moment they chose to keep going despite hardship. For many students at Masarat, reaching the end of the year is not a simple academic milestone. It is a sign of courage.

Many of them returned to learning after years of interruption, displacement, uncertainty, or loss. They entered the year carrying fear and hesitation, unsure whether they could study again, follow lessons, prepare for exams, or believe in their own abilities.

But they were not alone.

Throughout the year, Masarat’s teachers stood beside them with lessons, review sessions, explanations, and encouragement. Student activities gave them space to express themselves, build confidence, and feel connected to others. Academic guidance helped them think about their choices, understand their strengths, and imagine a clearer path forward. Student affairs and psychosocial support reminded them that their wellbeing matters as much as their learning.

This year was not only about completing lessons. It was about rebuilding trust: trust in education, trust in support, and trust in the possibility of a better future.

Because of your generosity, students at Masarat were able to continue through a full school year with more stability, confidence, and hope. Every lesson, every review, every moment of encouragement, and every small success carried the impact of your kindness.

Thank you for helping students finish this year not only with knowledge, but with the courage to begin the next one.
