At Masarat, we believe education is not only about the knowledge a child gains, but also about the person they become throughout their learning journey. This is especially important for orphaned children, many of whom have experienced loss and instability.
That is why we work to develop self-discipline as a life skill, rather than treating discipline as a system of rules and punishment.
For us, discipline means helping students learn to respect themselves and their time, take responsibility for their decisions, follow through on commitments, and correct their mistakes without losing confidence in themselves.
We nurture these skills in different ways: through interactive activities that help students stay engaged and motivated, individual support when they struggle with focus or consistency, and constructive conversations that help them understand their mistakes, learn from them, and take responsibility.
The goal is not for students to do the right thing because someone is watching, but to learn how to make responsible choices on their own.
Over time, these skills can influence their entire journey—from managing their time and staying committed to learning to handling responsibilities and gradually becoming more independent.
Thanks to your support, we are helping orphaned students gain more than knowledge. We are also helping them develop the inner tools they will need as they become increasingly responsible for their own choices and futures.
Thank you for helping nurture young people who are more self-aware, responsible, and confident in their ability to shape their own lives and futures.
