CW is near the end of another academic year. Every year we focus on empowerment and leadership with preparation for the graduating 6th graders to move on to high school. Our girls have done well. Many of our older alumnae frequently return to visit or seek support. Even though they have moved on to higher grades they still need to touch down in their second home - Chicuchas Wasi. Returning for this years celebration are thirteen + of our alumnae. They have continued to grow and reach higher and higher for their dreams. Frequently the older girls return to their beloved school to visit their favorite teachers and fill up with the love that fills the CW school and all who enter.
Our 37th anniversary is being celebrated with poems and dance at the school like every year. The little 4 and 5 yr olds receive their first diploma and so proud of learning to read. The 6 to 12yr old girls listen to the stories of the 6th grade graduating class and learn from the stories the Alumnae girls share about high school and college. And these stories fuel the dreams in front of them.
The now college students and CW alumnae - see top photo - have really made an incredible leap from being the first in their family to attend school to their amazing achievements today:
*Yllari is studying psychology at the University
*Edith graduated from College as an Accountant
*Irene is studying Civil Engineering
* Evelyn is in Masters program at Lima University Law school
These girls returned to celebrate with CW and their parents. They thanked, in a heartwarming speech, their teachers and Admin team for help paying College and University fees etc. that helped them climb over hurdles in their path to the success today.
Chicuchas Wasi financial update
CW bank account recovered the shortfall we had last news update. THANK YOU! Today the balance $37,644.20. Many nonprofits have been experiencing a slow down in donations and the dollar exchange rate is affecting us too, as gas, and food basics go way up.
As we face the holiday and end of year tax seasons we will be working to keep our CW open with the tightest budget needed to keep school open and teachers paid through January 2024.

THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING EDUCATION FOR GIRLS
Maria School business plan to support CW school for girls
Ruth update: Parents are talking to Ruth (Director) about registering their children for the Maria school for next March when the school year begins again. Soon we will generate the income to support the Maria school as well as the Chicuchas Wasi school for girls as Maria student enrollment begins for next March school year.
Cusco parents who demand quality private school education for their college bound boys and girls, plan to educate them at competitive foreign and national universities. We really need your donations now for the March 2024 start-up for longevity success in Peru. This is the perfect business for CW as the demand is high. Covid permanently closed down many private schools that were functioning unregulated in small rented buildings before Covid. The CW Maria school is a beautiful modern and colorful primary school built to deliver quality education and welcomed by the Ministry of Education.
Meanwhile please help us keep the CW girls school open. Until the Maria School enrollment is generating enough income, we still need your support to maintain the Chicuchas Wasi School for girls that we continue to deliver at no charge to our poor families. Please donate. Thank you so much for the gift of education for girls. See images of CW Girls school. We have achieved much in 37 years. THANK YOU

THANK YOU
Your continued support makes the difference!
CW's future when the (tuition-based ) 'Maria Tuition School' classes are filled, will be self-supporting. Covid upset our plans to open the Maria school in 2020 due to strict lock-down that lasted 2 years. We will be enrolling Maria School's new students for March 2024 school year.
NOTE: I am so sorry to ask again but we need you help until the enrollment begins for the Maria fundraising school next March. Thank you all for hanging in there with us. We have a little way to go yet but the impact of our work is self evident in the success of our girls...some are at the university today.
