1st report to Our Holy Supporters and Friends:
Hullo to you all! I’m very happy to submit our 1st report from the numerous activities that have been going on from our educational institute for the Ugandan sons and daughter-a broken establishment that caters for the thrown out children whom reputable schools will never have room for.
We thank you our dear donors for moving miles now with us, and especially expressing much love to cement all broken confidence over African projects, our prayers have always been for your blessed understanding and tireless zeal to reach out to needy people in more intellectual ways by supporting education. God who causes you to will may strengthen you and up hold you for many years to come!
We began the implementation process late in October 2014 by making the learning centre-Christ Towers Junior School legal and an established company limited by guarantee No 192070, to enable many of you to make the right decisions for all who wish to voluntarily help our work. Healing humanity in the cycle of charity has become a very huge limitation to offer support across many African countries, despite the drastic challenges faced in child care. To this effect, we have registered the School to offer an effective education to rural children who are disadvantaged, and give you a more formal opportunity to genuinely look no further for donations to charities like ours in Uganda.
We are happy to note to you that the Learning Center became officially open on the 2nd February 2015 and is now partly operational. We opened the school and home for children with 23 children and we now have grown to 55 students. We also set up this work with seven teachers and we have registered most numbers with the Nursery Section. We have started with three Nursery Section and five primary classes. Children are feeding at the centre with a cup of porridge each day to enable them have a meal in between their learning activities.
Donations & Disbarment
In this report we are happy to announce our 1st Globalgiving.org donation disbarment of $278 dollars which we received on 22nd of February 2015. With the donations we were now able to start to implement micro-units of the Early Learning Integration Centre Project. We obtained one school computer costing $157 Six School Desks $105, and instructional books $73. Also parents contribute $21 to help with feeding the students and paying of teachers. We want to say that you’re helping us in real terms to have a successful learning Centre.
Centre Construction:
Our Learning Centre is still underway contraction. We have not raised enough funding to resume construction. This limitation pushed us to hire a nearby three block building to enable the school to be operational. Hiring class rooms cost us $246 for six months, and we have also been able to meet a down payment of $57 to the owners of the rooms.
Since we did not meet the challenge of $5000 from 4o donors, we were offered a full month to continue rising funding from Global giving. Here we thank you so much Kelly for making a monthly donation that has enabled us earn another cycle to raise funding support from this plat form. Global giving is giving us an opportunity to grow as young projects, which is an important part of our fund raising.
IMPACT:
We are happy to report that we have more activities going on at the Learning Centre which you are invited to see via our face book reporting page. At;
We also request you to like the page so that all up dates are not missed by our supporters. Since we had also a fear to be deleted from global giving, we also set up another fund raising page on youcaring.com
Conclusion:
Your Global giving monthly donations are now more important than ever since they help us have a lifelong existence to look for support for our projects. Global giving will give us up to 8 months until we rise to the long life part ship if you chose to donate $20, we kindly rather request that you help us with monthly donations of $4 for a period of time. This will be a holy donation idea so as to allow us the opportunity to raise funds for projects from Global giving for a much longer period.
We look forward to your continued partnership with us, also we invite you to share with your friends and family to take up a year of financial partnership with us. Monthly donations of $%, $10, $20, or $50 and so on, will bring untold stories and happiness to many rural children in Uganda.
I again thank each one of you for your support and have a blessed year of giving to the rural children of Uganda,
Sincerely yours,
Lyakota Richard Kent,
Project Team Leader.
