Thank you so much for your donation to IDRAP work on Early Childhood Education for Poor Families in South East Province in eastern part of Indonesia. Your generosity means everything to us and to the community we serve. We know you have a lot of choices when it comes to donating, and we are so grateful that you chose to donate to our cause. We promise to be responsible stewards of both your donation and your trust.
The field activities carried out during this period were providing writing equipment such as books, pens and markers for private PAUD (early education center) in South Konawe as well as being involved in helping to teach children to learn writing both on notebooks and on the blackboard. On this visit, IDRAP has provided 10 packages of notebooks and pens and markers as teaching materials in PAUDs. Due to limited financial capacity, not all children have received assistance packages from IDRAP. The available packages have only reached 10 children with priority given to those from the poorest families.
The limited resources owned by PAUD (early education center), especially teachers who are all voluntarily work without monthly payment, encouraged IDRAP to send volunteers from IDRAP to help the existing local teachers. Volunteers from IDRAP are directly involved in providing lessons to children such as learning to write on the blackboard. Children and the PAUD administrators are very enthusiastic about the presence of volunteers from IDRAP because it really helps lighten the burden of local teachers who are very limited and work without monthly payment.
“As a parent of a child from a poor family, I am very grateful to IDRAP for helping my child to have learning equipment. So far, I have had difficulty providing all of that because of my family's worrying economic condition." Emir, parent of a child.
Thank you all for your support. We are all improving the future of children, especially those who come from poor families to get access to proper early childhood education. Providing equal opportunities for children from poor families to obtain the right to early childhood education.
