EADD II Milk Delivery

In its first three months, EADD II focused on refining project strategies to optimize resources, ensure efficiency and monitor progress. These initial steps are vital to laying a foundation that will give farmers the ability to connect with a professional and modern dairy sector. Implementation efforts included:

Recruiting and training staff in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania
Selecting potential project sites
Assessing business and production tools to better establish dairy hubs
Initiating relationships with grass roots organizations for value chain development
Creating a regional gender awareness strategy
Development of the annual Operational Plan and Budget (OPB)
Development of the Monitoring Learning and Evaluation (MLE) framework to ensure all project activities and outcomes are measured properly and goals are met
