Dear 2°C Supporters,
It's been a very impactful few months!
We have successfully completed the scientific validation testing phase, demonstrating the reliability, accuracy, and robustness of our 2°C Wavelet solution through rigorous, evidence-based evaluation with partners. With the core technology now validated and performance benchmarks met or exceeded, we are transitioning to the next critical stage: stakeholder adoption. This phase will focus on engaging key partners, aligning with operational needs, and integrating feedback to ensure seamless implementation and long-term impact, all as we support the UNESCO Ocean Decade.
To this end, some of our team met with the scuba industry at the Dive Equipment Manufacturers Association conference in November, 2025. Joining 2°C Executive Director Neil van Niekerk, were Ambassadors Mehgan Heaney-Grier, and Lad Akins, as well as board advisors Steve Weaver, and George Cummings, and we were able to make an impact at DEMA this year! Here we were able to begin signing early-adopter stakeholders to participate in the rollout of sensors. We have secured interest from as far away as Fiji, as well as throughout the Caribbean, Indonesia and others.
As each sensor is built per use case, securing funding prior to the build is critical, and it is here that you as supporters provide the very building blocks we need to get these oceans sensors in the near-shore coral reefs that need monitoring in remote locations all over the world.
Your donations make all the difference, thank you!
