The healthcare system in India has faced a huge challenge over the past 2 years, placing enormous pressure on healthcare workers. As the third wave is yet to reach its peak in the country, it is crucial to increase the preparedness for preventing severe scenarios. An effective response to the pandemic starts from building the capacity of healthcare workers.
HLFPPT is working towards the preparedness of the healthcare system against 3rd wave by building the capacities of community workers. The training is designed for health workers on the frontlines of the crisis to increase their capacity to respond rapidly and efficiently to the threat of 3rd wave, while also protecting their own health.
HLFPPT has conducted training of 1000+ Community health workers (CHWs) in UP and Rajasthan on COVID-19 management and preparedness against the third wave. This involves providing information on the following themes:
This training has enhanced the knowledge of community workers regarding preparedness on the subsequent waves. CHWs serve as the intersection point and advocates between the community and the healthcare system. They bring effective change as well as prepare the community for the pandemic.
We are able to train the CHWs on the COVID-19 which has benefited the community because of aid provided by donors like you. We would like to thank our donors for their continuous support for our efforts towards COVID-19 relief and intervention to train more and more Community Health Workers.
