India is passing through a deadly 2nd surge of COVID-19 outbreak. More than 3,000 people are dying, and tens of thousands are infected each day. Marginalized populations, mostly daily wage workers, living in the slums & villages need food & other basic needs and Vaccination to stay alive. Your donations will help distribute essential nutrition, dry ration kits, and hygiene kits to families living in slums & villages of Delhi, Haryana & Rajasthan while educating them on prevention & vaccination.
Because of the surge in Covid-19 cases in Delhi and surrounding states, there are lockdowns in many areas, which severely hurt the daily wage earners, poor, and underprivileged families. They have lost their sources of income. At the same time, the ignorance & negligence about maintaining social distance and wearing masks during this pandemic might cause the deadly spread of the virus in many of these clusters of neighborhoods.
Besides distributing essential food ration and sanitary kits, and nutritional kits to pregnant & lactating mothers, your donation to this fund will help us stop the virus's spread in the slum & villages protecting the most vulnerable communities. It will help the field team of Sukarya educates people regarding preventive measures through health awareness sessions highlighting the usage of masks, periodic hand washing, the importance of social distancing, and promote Vaccination against Covid-19.
As a grassroots level organization deeply rooted in local communities, we positioned well to lead efforts to stop COVID-19. Your donation will enable us to help the most vulnerable families survive the pandemic. Besides distributing the food and hygiene packs, this project will educate Covid prevention methods to 50000 people living in 15 slums of Delhi & Gurugram to stop the spread. It will also enable vulnerable families to connect with the government and other like-minded organizations.
