In addition, the 2022 ELS class will receive weekly professional and personal development coaching from Jeanie Chang, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and the Founder of Your Change Provider, PLLC. Moreveor, they are meeting with mentors and role models who speaking to these emerging leader periodically for special professional development sessions -- for example with CKA Members Sam Hyun, Commissioner at the Massachusetts Asian American and Pacific Islanders Commission; and Georgia Tech Doctoral Student Daniel Aum, a Rosenthal Fellow who will serve with the U.S. House of Foreign Affairs Committee.
Thank you for investing in developing a strong community of future leaders so that they can continue to amplify our collective voice.

With your generous support, CKA is excited to relaunch our Emerging Leaders Scholarship Program (previously known as the Public Service Internship Program)!
CKA believes in the importance of Korean Americans being actively involved in public and community service and recognizes that internships provide the best opportunities to encourage college and graduate students to engage in public service.
The scholarship is available for college students, recent grads, or graduate students who are interested in the Korean American community and serving in a public service internship program in the Washington, DC, or New York City area. Awardees are also invited to participate in professional development seminars throughout the summer, work with senior Asian American mentors, and take opportunities to reflect on their internships with their peers.
We hope that you will continue to join our movement of investing in the future generation of Korean American leaders.

With your gracious support, the Council of Korean Americans empowered the next generation of Korean American leaders through our 2021 IgniteNextGen Professional Fellowship. This summer, our highly accomplished cohort of KA college students and young professionals completed a rigorous curriculum centered on identity-building, professional development, and personal enrichment.
At the end of the program, fellows were presented with a Policy Innovation Challenge covering the topics of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI); Creativity & Innovation; and Mental Health & Well-Being. They identified problems, proposed solutions, and created persuasion media to accompany their policy briefs. Please visit www.ignitenextgen.org to view their presentations.
On behalf of the Council of Korean Americans, we sincerely thank you again for your generosity as we continue this necessary effort. We hope that you will continue to invest in the future of the Korean American community.
