Meet our 2022 Emerging Leaders!

By So Yeon Kang | Director of Development

As a result of your ongoing support, CKA announces the 2022 Emerging Leaders, a cohort of ten (10) scholars in Washington, DC and New York working in various nonprofit and government agencies.

These agencies include:

  • National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA)
  • U.S. Department of Transportation
  • British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC)
  • Asian American Federation
  • World Neurology Foundation

As each ELS Class is unique, so is the program. This summer, our scholars will engage in peer-to-peer interactions, embark on tours of landmark workplaces such as the United Nations, and actively learn and participate in panel discussions with leading experts in various sectors. In addition, the 2022 ELS class will receive weekly professional and personal development coaching  from Jeanie Chang, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and the Founder of Your Change Provider, PLLC. Moreveor, they are meeting with mentors and role models who speaking to these emerging leader periodically for  special professional development  sessions -- for example with CKA Members Sam Hyun, Commissioner at the Massachusetts Asian American and Pacific Islanders Commission; and Georgia Tech Doctoral Student Daniel Aum, a Rosenthal Fellow who will serve with the U.S. House of Foreign Affairs Committee.

Thank you for investing in developing a strong community of future leaders so that they can continue to amplify our collective voice.
