The COVID 19 crisis has put the tribal children at a heightened risk of educational gaps, malnutrition and other health problems.
PRIDE India’s Muktashala a residential home for the tribal children aims to provide holistic development. During the pandemic, Muktashala ensured continuity in the overall development and progress of these tribal children through
• Academic continuity by home visits and doubt clearing sessions
• Conducting medical camps and covid awareness sessions.
• Distribution of food and hygiene packets preventing malnutrition
• Livelihood support to their families helping to sustain themselves during this pandemic
Currently, vaccinations are emerging as an effective measure to combat the spread of the infection and in saving lives. Liasoning with the government to expedite the vaccination drives and reach the unreached especially the vulnerable communities in the remote villages, PRIDE India along with the local gram panchayat and the National Health Centre conducted a vaccination camp at Muktashala for the tribal families in which 121 tribals and nearby villagers were vaccinated, ensuring their safety and keeping them secure from the possible third wave of the pandemic.
We thank the donors, supporters and all our well-wishers for their continued support provided to help mitigate the severity of the COVID 19 impact on these families and we request you to continue to join hands together to help save these marginalized communities.
