Dear Friend,
We are so grateful for your support and are excited about the progress we can achieve together in engaging even more young people in digital making in 2022. Thanks to your continued support, we celebrated a successful 2021 and have already been busy this year rolling out new learning experiences for our CoderDojo community.
Reflecting on 2021
Despite challenges faced due to the pandemic, the CoderDojo community came together in 2021 to keep kids coding. We rolled out new resources for learners and adapted to online learning when needed. Over 270 Ninjas from 20 countries took part in Coolest Projects and amazed us with what they were able to create. We celebrated 10 years of CoderDojo and looked forward to another decade of learning!
New coding projects for Ninjas
In November, we launched Code Club World, a free online education tool where young people can independently learn to code in a fun and structured way. You can share the tool with the young people in your life or build your own avatar and begin earning badges today!
In January, we announced a new set of projects for young learners who want to create interactive 3D worlds, stories, and games. In partnership with Unity, these resources provide experienced youth the opportunity to learn real-world skills that are sought after in the tech sector.
New Astro Pi computers head to space
On 21 December, two new Raspberry Pi computers were sent to the International Space Station as part of the European Astro Pi Challenge. Equipped with upgraded hardware, these new Astro Pi computers will increase the types of experiments that Astro Pi participants can perform for the Challenge.
We appreciate your continued support of the CoderDojo community!
With gratitude,
Jana
