With generous support from IAHV’s environment-conscious donors, friends, and CSR partners, we have funded planting of 81,657 new trees this year with Eden reforestation sites, which on average will remove 1,450 tons of CO2 every year the trees are growing. The progress this year has taken our total tree planting count to 451,169 trees along with our strategic partner Saving Our Planet. Our next goal is 1 million trees, and we hope to hit this sometime in 2022.

From July 2021 onwards, we welcome a new funding business partner on-board : The Mango tree Taunton : a living kindly mission of an inspired individual running a vegan-friendly resturant in Somerset, England.

This Quarterly impact report of IAHV Climate Action Now covers an inspiring story of a woman named Devi in Nepal, a call for volunteers, the impact of your funding on biodiversity, pictures from ground zero and finally a positive news update from the recent meet of the G7 leaders in Cornwall held under the presidency of the UK. Please checkout the full PDF report in this update.

Please do engage with us by giving your feedback and by joining in this collective mission to combat climate change that brought unprecedented floods in Germany, Belgium and Holland recently; amongst other disasters worldwide. It is time to act!

In this report we bring to you pictures and two short videos from our ground partner Eden Reforestation Projects; an announcement of IAHV’s Corporate partnerships with The Bamboovement (Holland) and Searce.com (UK and RoI); and finally, your invitation to an exciting ‘online tour’ of the rich heritage of Indonesia (in March and April). Next month we'd publish a supplementary report of the Project impact in numbers: new trees, hours of emplyment generated and the Tonnage of CO2 offset through the project IAHV Climate Action Now.   Please do give your feedback and engagefurther with us in the mission to reverse Global warming!    THANK YOU VERY MUCH for your continued support!

We are excited to share that together with our partner organisations, we have now planted a total of 338,041 trees from the fundraising on this GlobalGiving page and other fundraising efforts.  This represents an additional 38,062 trees since our last report in July 2020.  The total trees planted from funds raised solely from this GlobalGiving page is 176,558 with 2,589 trees added since July 2020.

“In addition, there are donations from this GlobalGiving page which are allocated for spending on Education.  IAHV is currently holding a total of £2,351.25 of which £248.94 was added since July 2020.  We are ready to collaborate with schools and educators.

On 19th July, as part of a Global Virtual 10K run, 14 of our supporters raised a fantastic GBP 3937. We are grateful for the support and generous contribution from donors. Many runners reported thrilling experences and the event was compered online over Zoom and streamed live on Facebook. Planting Continues - SAFELY!
Planting Continues - SAFELY!

Dear Supporters,

Thanks to your kind and generous donations, Climate Action Now* has now funded another 30,536 trees providing 305 days of paid work to villagers who were previously in extreme poverty. We have now funded a total of over 294,189 trees for planting by Eden Reforestation Projects. Accordingly, we are at 98% of our 300,000 tree-planting goal.

The economic uncertainty brought about by coronavirus-19 has reduced revenues from fundraising and taken focus away from climate change and the environment. Now more than ever, we need your support. If you are wondering about the most effective time to donate, think about 15th July 2020. GlobalGiving is hosting its July Bonus day on July 15, from 9am and ending at midnight Eastern (US) Time, to encourage higher-level donations. There will be some level of matching for donations of $100 USD or more.

Coronavirus has reduced pollution levels and given us time to reflect. Along with this report, I am including a video from the WEF, on the importance of restoring our relationship with nature to reduce the risks of further pandemics, and a New Scientist link on the effects of meat and dairy production on the planet.

We hope to pilot the Let’s Save Our Planet graphic book in at least one school in the upcoming academic year. We have updated the English and French versions, now available on Amazon, and the update to the Italian language version is in progress. In addition, we have a German translation which will be published in due course.

Thank you again for all your support.

Dear Supporters,

Pictured in the photo is our partner Eden Reforestation’s CEO, Steve Fitch -- in the blue cap and sunglasses -- along with its International Operations Director, Sehr Ali (front left), and its National Director for Indonesia, Jesse Willem (front right). They are with people from the village and planting team on Biak which is in Papua, part of the Schouten Islands, northwest of New Guinea. In Indonesia, the focus is on mangrove planting. This report includes a link to a vlog about Eden’s engagement with and tree-planting in this region. Climate Action Now is supporting all six of Eden’s current project nations: Madagascar, Mozambique, Indonesia, Nepal, Haiti, and Kenya.

Thanks to your kind and generous donations, last month Climate Action Now* funded another 38,902 trees providing 389 days of paid work to villagers who were previously in extreme poverty. We have now funded about 240,000 trees for planting by Eden Reforestation Projects, providing about 2,400 days of paid work as well. Accordingly, we are about 80% to our 300,000-tree-planting goal.

We are not alone in tree planting efforts across the globe. By helping to meet this goal we are also contributing to the call from the World Economic Forum 2020 to plant 1 trillion trees. A link to this initiative is included with this report.

We have an upcoming opportunity to receive some partial matching of funds in the GlobalGiving Little by Little campaign from March 23 - March 28, 2020. If you were wondering when a particularly good time would be to contribute, it is within this time frame! We have included a link with the terms and conditions of the campaign matching.

As previously noted, in due course and as and when promising opportunities arise, we will address the education and teacher training aspects of our plan. We are updating our climate graphic textbook and considering different avenues for its adoption in schools and/or for Fridays For Future climate strikers.

Thank you again for all your support.
