Getting through codvid-19 is about working together to keep each other safe. We at GLA have been in isolation for three months. Ever since the country has declared that it is in a State of emergency because of the pandemic. Our executive director made sure that all of the employees attended an informative seminar about Codvid-19. It was a success. All of the employees got the chance to participate and learn about the new good lifestyle habits while living during a pandemic. They even learn how to make mask out of 2 sheets of paper towels.
We have been wearing mask and washing our hands as often as possible. Thanks to your donations we are able to get a water truck come up to GLA and provide water so our children, nannies and office staff can practice all of the measure of precautions from this global pandemic.
The first two of cases of Codvid-19 in Haiti were detected on March 19, 2020. Since then the Haitian government has declared us in a State of Emergency. The government published a decree that states all of the rules and safety precautions that everyone in the territory is obligated to follow. The rules are:
Up to this day the Ministry of health in Haiti (MSPP) has been publishing the numbers of confirmed cases of codvid-19. We have a total of 4,309 confirmed cases.
It is important for us to stay up to date with all of the news sources in Haiti so we can know how to adapt to living in Isolation. That way we can protect the children as much as possible making sure that they have what they need.
