We all know how important water is. Though we do our best to conserve water at GLA, we need a lot to adequately care for our infants and children. We use water to drink, water to shower, water to clean, and water to cook. Water is as important as oxygen.
An article written by the European Federation of Bottled Water stated that, “Water is an essential nutrient and plays a key role in the human body. We can survive up to several weeks without food, but only a few days without water. Every system in the body, from cells and tissues, to vital organs requires water to function.
Did you know that?
Water makes up on average 60% of an adult’s body weight, from 31 % in bones to 83% in lungs. This is why water is as important as oxygen. Everybody needs water to have a healthy and better life.”
In a third world country like Haiti, something as basic as clean water is not the easiest and cheapest thing to get. We want to say “Thank you, so very much,” to the people that help us by donating to our “Providing Clean Water Project”. The children at GLA are able to thrive because you care. There is no such thing as too little! Every donation makes a difference.
