Globally, one in every nine people does not have access to an improved water source, with higher rates in poor, rural communities. In remote areas of the Philippines, one in three people uses unclean water. Our projects aim to address this issue through the provision of clean, safe drinking water.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of the GlobalGiving community, we are pleased to report that we will be deploying a water filtration system at a school in Quezon Province, Philippines, once the schools reopen after the summer break. This system will provide the school with safe water access, as well as handwashing facilities and will be deployed together with our water-health and hygiene education program.
