Thanks to your generous support, we are thrilled to report on the successful deployment of a new water filtration system at Lucena South I Elementary School in Quezon, Philippines.
On August 29, 2025, our team installed a new water filtration system on the school’s campus. This school, located in a highly urbanized area, previously struggled to provide safe drinking water to its students because of an unsafe piped water source.
The new water filtration system addresses this critical need by producing up to 1,000 liters of safe drinking water every hour. The system also includes integrated handwashing facilities to promote healthy hygiene habits among the students.
In addition to the installation, we conducted a hygiene education program to teach students and staff about essential hygiene practices. Thanks to your contribution, we were able to provide a long-term solution to the school’s water challenges, ensuring students can stay healthy and focus on their education. We are deeply grateful for your commitment to this cause.
A parent shared how this has impacted her family:
"I am a housewife with three children studying at this school. The water filtration system is a big help because we no longer need to send drinking water with our children. Almost every day, what they brought was not enough, so at lunchtime I had to send more water or sometimes even buy it. Having the system here at the school is a great relief and brings savings for us. Now, we are assured that our children have safe and free drinking water."
In the meantime, through support from other channels, we continue to deploy projects across the Philippines where we have full funding in place, bringing clean, safe drinking water to children in the country.
