Story of Resilience and Progress!

By Dungrila Pascal Mbimenyuy. | I.A.A Director/Project Leader.

Integrated Agricultural Association (IAA aims to construct a well with a hand pump to provide clean and safe drinking water for Fulani community in Mogny village, Foumbot Sub-Division of Cameroon, who further isolate themselves from village square to live in the interior part of the village for grazing and agriculture. IAA is providing training on hygiene and sanitation and on water treatment and management for community members in the west region of Cameroon to reduce the prevalence of cholera and infant mortality.

No clean drinking water. No clean water for washing hands. For women and their children at Mogny community in West region of Cameroon, this is life every day. They are tasked with fetching water from nearby streams and swamps so there can be water available at home.“We hope to get clean and safe water so that we can concentrate on classwork” and be more economically productive in our community, says a community member.

Though often overlooked, clean water is essential to living a safe and healthy life, and without it this past year our world would look very different. Clean water has always been at the foundation of keeping hands clean, kids in school, and children safe. As our current supporter, now is an amazing opportunity to increase your support, and see the impact clean water can make on children. We are $4275 away from our goal of $10,000 to give clean water to over 1000 people. Your continued donation through GlobalGiving ensures that we are able to make our dream come true.

There’s a lot we can’t change right now, but you can change this one thing for women and their children in Mogny community through donating to our water project. In the coming weeks, we hope you cherish the impact clean water has had on your own life this past year. And in the meantime, keep an eye out for more about Mogny Community and their water story through GlobalGiving.

Believing you would consider making donation to change everything for Mogny community and Fulani women in the West region of Cameroon.
