Getting ready for christmas! / Alistandonos para navidad!

Con una visita a la Universidad Santiago de Cali y sus manualidades, los niños del CEII Caminitos se están preparando para celebrar la navidad con la mejor actitud y salud oral.

Niños y padres de familia visitaron las instalaciones de la Facultad de Odontología de la Universidad Santiago de Cali donde estudiantes del último semestre de odontología y algunos de sus profesores atendieron sus necesidades de procedimientos especiales y limpiezas orales, los niños junto con algunos de sus familiares salieron felices, agradecidos y con una mejor salud oral. Estas campañas hacen parte de un convenio que La Fundación Los del Camino ha establecido con la Universidad santiago de Cali para su programa CEII Caminitos en pro de crear una atención integral, mejorar la calidad de vida y procurar el buen desarrollo de sus niños y el bienestar de sus familias.

Además, en la última jornada del CEII empezamos a crear elementos decorativos para la navidad que se avecina, así los niños entran en un ambiente de celebración que los ilusiona y los motiva a disfrutar de las cosas positivas de estas celebraciones de fin de año.

Con salud e ilusiones nuestros niños enfocan toda su alegría de forma positiva en celebrar la navidad que está hecha para ellos.

The children of the CEII Caminitos are preparing to celebrate Christmas with the best attitude and with the help of the Santiago de Cali University and their students, the children received oral care and participated of arts and crafts classes with their CEII guides to make Christmas decorations for both the CEII and for their families.

Children and their parents visited the facilities of the Faculty of Dentistry of the Santiago de Cali University where students in the last semester of dentistry and some of their professors offered oral cleaning and examinations and gave them a new reasons to smile. These campaigns are part of an agreement that The Los del Camino Foundation has established with the Santiago de Cali University for its CEII program to give comprehensive care, improve their quality of life and seek plentiful development of its children and the well-being of their families.

In addition, on the last day of the CEII they created christmas decorations, this way the children could enjoy an atmosphere of celebration and happiness proper of the season and were motivated to enjoy fully the positive things that brings this festivities.

With health and new illusions our children will focus all their joy in a positive way on celebrating Christmas, a season that is meant for them.

A health day at CEII|Una jornada medica en el CEII

¡Una Jornada de Salud en el CEII!

Recibimos la visita de médicos que brindaron atención en salud a nuestros niños del CEII, gracias al convenio establecido entre la Universidad Santiago de Cali y la Fundación Los del Camino.

Los niños y sus familias se enfrentan constantemente con múltiples dificultades para acceder a servicios de salud empezando por aquellos orientados a la prevención y control de enfermedades, lo que suele derivar en complicaciones y en el deterioro de su calidad de vida, por eso ha sido importante acercar los servicios médicos a nuestra comunidad, con el fin de garantizar una adecuada atención medica primaria que procure su bienestar y el de su núcleo familiar.

Como resultado de esta jornada en la que con agrado participaron los niños, sus padres y sus abuelos, ahora todos cuentan con una historia clínica. Los niños recibieron control de crecimiento y seguimiento a su desarrollo, y junto con los adultos tuvieron consulta externa, desparasitación, tamizaje visual, control de presión arterial y medición de riesgo cardiovascular. Todos disfrutaron la interacción con los doctores y tuvieron la oportunidad de hablarles y reir con con ellos.

Conociendo su estado de salud y acercando a los profesionales de medicina a los niños podremos, apartir del autocuidado reforzar el amor propio para crear bienestar colectivo que mejora la proyección de futuro de los niños y su comunidad.

La incorporación de las jornadas médicas a nuestro programa hace parte de la dinámica de atención integral que el CEII se ha propuesto brindar a los niños y sus familias.

A health fair at CEII!

We received the visit of doctors who provided health care to our CEII’s children, thanks to the agreement established between the Santiago de Cali University and the Los del Camino Foundation.

The children and their families are constantly facing multiple difficulties in accessing health care, specially the care that looks to prevent diseases and medical control, which usually leads to complications and the overall deterioration of their quality of life, so it has been important to bring medical services to our community, in order to ensure adequate primary medical care that seeks their well-being as well as their immediate family members’ health.

The result of the day, in which the children, their parents and grandparents were happily involved, was that they now all have a medical record. Children received growth monitoring with follow-up to ensure their correct development. Adults received external consultation, parasite prevention, visual screening, blood pressure control and cardiovascular risk measurement. They enjoyed the interaction with the doctors and had the opportunity to talk, ask and laugh with them.

By knowing their health situation as well as by getting close with the doctors, we can start to promote self-care that will reinforce self respect and create a collective well-being that improves the projection for their own future and that of their community.

The addition of the health checkup days into our program is part of the comprehensive care dynamics that the CEII has set out to provide to children and their families.

Programa para los padres de los ninos del CEII

El sábado primero de junio de 2019 se realizó la caracterización de cada uno de los Padres de familia de los niños de nuestro Centro de Enseñanza Integral Infantil - CEII.

En este proceso donde se inició la determinación de atributos especiales que distinguen a cada uno ellos, tiene como objetivo perfilarlos para la nueva capacitación de EMPRENDIMIENTO que llevará a cabo la Facultad de Ciencias Económicas y Empresariales de la Universidad Santiago de Cali.

La Fundación Los del Camino está en la continua búsqueda de opciones para poder impactar de manera positiva, integral y sostenible, el futuro de los niños que actualmente asisten al CEII y como resultado ha establecido un convenio que hace parte de su Eje de Inclusión y Reintegración, para que los 40 hogares a los que pertenecen los niños de nuestro programa del CEII puedan crear sus propios PROYECTOS PRODUCTIVOS y tengan la posibilidad de incrementar los ingresos, mejorar la calidad de vida de nuestros niños e impactar positivamente el entorno donde se desarrollan.

Tenemos la convicción que brindando herramientas integrales a la familia, podremos tener mejor resultados en el futuro y avance de los niños y de la sociedad .

On Saturday the first of June 2019 the characterization of each of the parents of the children of our center of Infantil Integral Education - (CEII after its initials in Spanish) was carried out.

In this process that began the determination of special attributes that distinguish each of them, has as goal to prepare them for the new seminar of ENTREPRENEURSHIP that will be carried out by the faculty of Economic and Business Sciences of the Santiago de Cali University.

Los del Camino Foundation is in the continuous search for options to be able to impact in a positive, integral and sustainable way, the future of the children that are currently attending the CEII and as a result has established an agreement that is part of its axis of inclusion and Re Integration, so that the 40 households that are part of the CEII program that the children belong to can create their own PRODUCTIVE PROJECTS and have the possibility to increase their income, improve the quality of life of our children and positively impact the environment where they are developing.

We have the conviction that by providing comprehensive tools to the family, we can have better results in the future and growth of children and society.
