Integrated Agricultural Association (IAA) aimed at training 12 social workers to provide psycho-social support to OVC's through home visits and interpersonal communication on monthly basis, and provide food, health assistance, cloths, legal assistance, sanitation and educational support for over 300 identified OVC's in Bamenda. The aim is to protect and give hope to these children.
12 social workers have provided psycho-social support to 500 Orphans and other vulnerable children in the city of Bamenda in the past 5 months. Each social worker was obligated to reach 50 children per month to understand their challenges and provide mental health support to children and carers. During this feastive season, Integrated Agricultural Association (IAA) is organising a chrismas reach out for vulnerable children and their families, to show love and support them basic items including, food, soap, cloths and oil so that they can celeberate with the community and other people with happiness and joy.
Imagine your children have enough to eat, attend good schools, wear better dresses and have people to proudly call dad/mom, while some children do not have a home, parents, cannot go to school nor have food to eat. We must act now during this holiday and feastive season to support these vulnerable children and put a smile on their faces.
Of our $150,000 funding goal, we have raised $25 which is insignificant to address our needs. Consider making a donation today through GlobalGiving to put a smile on the faces of these vulnerable and abandoned children in Cameroon.
Thank you for choosing IAA as your trusted charity and for being part of supporter community. We are able to do what we do because of the support we receive from people like you!
