Project Report | Oct 30, 2018
Women building Community

By Stephanie Lezcano | Executive Director

“One woman can bring change to a family and many women together will bring change to humanity.”

Musimbi Kanyoro, President and CEO of Global Fund for Women.

For Fundacion Calicanto, the CAPTA program is an engine to build community and empower agents of change in our world. It is a space in which women discover their value and ability to transform their environment and turn it into opportunities for growth.

Today we celebrate the achievement of all the 1,530 women who have gone through our programs and the potential of the children who have seen in their mothers the example of improvement and effort. We celebrate family, friends, trainers, sponsors, volunteers and all the people who have been part of this project during the last 12 years.

We remain motivated to reach more beneficiaries in Panama and to continue making innovative and positive improvements in our processes and methodologies to increase opportunities for women, families and communities.

Last week we had our traditional Family Day with our 50th CAPTA group and we have prepared a video for you:

Thank you for being part of this family!
