Prepared by Amazing Life Foundation (ALF) for submission to GlobalGiving
Reporting Period
January 2026 – May 2026
Project Location
Jinja District and surrounding communities, Uganda
Project Summary
The “Buy 500 Sewing Machines to 500 Teenage Mothers” project was launched to empower vulnerable teenage mothers with vocational skills, self-employment opportunities, and economic independence through tailoring and entrepreneurship support. The project responds to rising levels of teenage pregnancy, unemployment, school dropout, and household poverty among young mothers in underserved communities.
Through the support of donors and partners on GlobalGiving, Amazing Life Foundation (ALF) has continued to provide tailoring training, mentorship, psychosocial support, and sewing machines to teenage mothers who would otherwise remain trapped in cycles of dependency and poverty.
This reporting period focused on beneficiary mobilization, tailoring skills training, machine distribution planning, business preparation, and livelihood support activities.
Objectives of the Project
The project aims to:

The procurement package includes:
