Dear friends,
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your trust and for standing with us on this project. Thanks to your generous contributions through the GlobalGiving platform, as well as the ongoing support from Fundación ProEmpleo’s recurring donors, 24 individuals were able to participate in the ReEmprende Digital program, where they developed key skills for the digital transformation of their businesses.
The project “#Breaking Myths About Entrepreneurship in Mexico” offered comprehensive training designed to provide participants with essential tools and personalized guidance on their journey toward digitalization. We are proud to share that 71% of the participants were women between the ages of 30 and 49, mostly residing in Mexico City, Estado de México, and Oaxaca.
Women in this age group face numerous labor market challenges, deeply rooted in cultural, social, and economic factors. These include the persistent gender pay gap, an unequal burden of unpaid work, and widespread labor informality, among other significant obstacles.
In this context, entrepreneurship emerges as a path of hope. It offers women the opportunity not only to generate income but also to strengthen their autonomy, self-esteem, and quality of life, along with that of their families.
Your contributions have been the driving force behind our ongoing commitment to empowering women through entrepreneurship. By investing in their potential, we are taking meaningful steps toward closing gender gaps and building stronger, more resilient, and more equitable communities.
