2023 Annual Report

By Peter Kojo Amoabil | Executive Director

We are excited to share with you our annual report for 2023, which showcases the amazing work that we have done together to improve literacy and education in rural Ghana.

With your generous support and partnership, we have achieved remarkable results in two major initiatives: the Moodlebox project and the Little Library project.

The Moodlebox project aimed to enhance digital literacy skills and provide access to Open Educational Resources (OER) in reading and numeracy for children in two primary schools. We distributed two Raspberry Pi 400 devices and 30 tablet and phone devices to the schools, allowing students to access Moodlebox, a platform that hosts OER. We also trained teachers on how to use Moodlebox effectively in their classrooms, improving their teaching techniques and student engagement.

The Little Library project aimed to promote a love for reading and improve reading proficiency for children in rural communities. We set up two Little Libraries in two primary schools, providing access to diverse and quality books for over 500 children. We also engaged parents, teachers, and community members in encouraging children to borrow books regularly and develop a lifelong passion for reading.

The impact of these projects has been profound and inspiring. We have seen significant improvements in the educational outcomes and literacy levels of the children who participated in our projects. We have also witnessed increased interest and enthusiasm for reading and learning among the children and the community. We have received positive feedback and gratitude from the beneficiaries and stakeholders of our projects, who appreciate the opportunities and resources that we have provided.

We are immensely grateful for your continued support and trust in our mission. Without you, none of this would have been possible. You have made a difference in the lives of hundreds of children and their families.

Pease find attached our annual report for 2023, which contains more details and information about our work and impact. We hope you enjoy reading it and feel proud of being part of our journey.

We look forward to working with you in 2024 and beyond to create a better world for everyone.

Thank you once again for your generosity and kindness.

Sincerely,

Peter Amoabil

Executive Director.
