Report 2021 - 4
Hi everyone,
This is definitely a good moment to say thanks for all the support you have given to us. It is not only the end of 2021 but also the beginning of 2022, a year on which we have our hopes set high.
First things first. We finished the rural camp “Soy Campo, Soy Cambio” and we achieved huge success. We had the precious opportunity to share more than 6 weeks with young leaders from across the country. At the graduation ceremony, they shared the outcomes of their digital influencer journey and explained why their ideas are worth supporting. Some of the topics developed during the camp included environmental awareness, mental health, social entrepreneurship, and leadership.
With this, we now have two cohorts of young rural leaders empowered with knowledge and with lots of ideas and good intentions. We hope they will go on ahead and continue being local leaders and change-makers.

Agenda Joven (Young Agenda)
As you may know from previous reports, we have been working hard on promoting youth in Colombia. Agenda Joven is one of our main strategies for this purpose which is a citizen initiative to develop territorial youth leadership and empowerment in Colombia.
This project seeks to develop youth leadership in regions and territories of Colombia, in order to foster the creation of public policies to support the development of territories, including PDETs areas, which have faced historic violence and lack of presence of the State, such as Magdalena, Caquetá, Chocó, Cesar and Catatumbo.
In those territories, the Colombian State has formulated a special 15-year planning and management instrument, aiming to bring the social and public policy required as a priority and with greater speed to stabilize and transform territories most affected by violence, poverty, illicit economies, and institutional weakness, and thus achieve the rural development required by these municipalities.
This project, developed in different stages, has now completed its 1st stage (identification regional leaders, public policy issues, capacity building opportunities, and youth initiatives), and seeks to increase the reach of the identified activities in a 2nd stage.
As of today, we have a set of regional leaders that are promoting the creation of their own local youth agendas so that in the future their communities can benefit from that. In addition, we launched the official website:
Finally, we don’t want to miss the chance of highlighting the marvelous support from our mentors Brenda, Laura, Paula, Yessica, Helyn, and Derly from the 2020 camp. Due to their leadership and support, we could improve the camp and evolve into a more digital-social model that fosters innovation and development locally with young rural leaders from across the country.
This is the team that will work twice as hard in 2022 so that we can impact even more farmers and rural communities in Colombia.
That’s all for now, see you at the next report.
Best,
The team at Mas Por TIC.
