Second Quarter Impact Report: December - March 2025]

By Abdul-Razak Issah | Executive Director

  • Introduction

The past three months have been a period of remarkable growth and impact as we went the extra mile to create learning opportunities for students who would not have otherwise experienced this transformative journey. Thanks to your generosity, we have reached 725 direct learners in 12 rural school communities with STEM-focused learning opportunities.

This report serves as our commitment to you, providing updates every three months on our progress, the impact of your donations, and our future direction.

  • Increased Support, Increased Impact

Your donations and support have been instrumental in driving our mission forward. We would like to acknowledge a generous family from the USA, Dr. Peters and Jillian, who have been supporting us for the past four years. Unfortunately, they recently lost their beloved Amari in a tragic car accident. Due to Amari’s deep love for education, they connected with us to honor his memory. During the vacation period, which we call "Our Day" a celebration of the last day of each term with good food and community gatherings the family provided meals in Amari’s honor. Additionally, they funded the full cost of shipping STEM tools donated to us by Engineering Tomorrow in the USA, significantly enriching our resource pool.

Furthermore, we are grateful to our advisory member, Jonathan from Australia, for providing LEGO resources that have been invaluable to our students. We also deeply appreciate our recurring donors, Mei, whom we fondly refer to as the "Mother of the Internet"and Abena, a visionary leader. Their continued monthly donations ensure that we can sustain and expand our impact.

We encourage more supporters to consider joining our recurring donor program, as even the smallest contributions make a significant difference.

  • Impact at a Glance

725 Learners Reached
12 Rural Communities
26 Teachers Trained
Expanded STEM Learning Resources

We have received encouraging feedback from school authorities who have noticed a positive shift in students' attitudes toward education. The usual trend of girls leaving school for early marriage has significantly reduced due to the excitement and engagement our STEM workshops provide. Exposure to these technologies has expanded their horizons and deepened their interest in education.

Impact Breakdown:
480 Girls
245 Boys
26 Teachers

These students and educators have been introduced to engineering concepts and effective pedagogies, reinforcing our mission of creating equitable learning experiences.

  • Hands-On Learning

One of the unique aspects of our approach is democratizing learning beyond the classroom, transforming it into practical, hands-on sessions. Our students have engaged in:

Drone Piloting
Robotics
Solar Electric Engineering
Pharmaceutical Drug Delivery
Wind Power Engineering

These industry-led experiences equip students with insights into real-world applications, helping them make informed career choices. They also challenge girls to pursue careers in traditionally male-dominated STEM fields.

  • Teacher Empowerment

Through our engagements, we conduct needs assessments in schools, collaborate with teachers to understand their challenges, and co-create technology-based lesson plans. We then train teachers on facilitating these sessions, provide them with opportunities to present their lessons, and offer continuous monitoring and coaching.

Many teachers have expressed how this experience has enhanced their professional growth and have called for more such engagements. Their enthusiasm reinforces our belief that investing in teacher training leads to sustained educational impact.

  • Looking Ahead

As we move forward, we remain committed to expanding our reach, increasing our impact, and ensuring that every donation you make translates into meaningful learning experiences. We appreciate your continued support and look forward to another quarter of growth, transformation, and inspiration.

  • Acknowledgment: Heroes Behind the Impact

Behind every milestone we achieve, there are incredible individuals whose unwavering support fuels our mission. A heartfelt thank you to the following champions of change for their unflinching support and generous contributions:

Robert, Dr. Peters, Abena, Tahir, Laura, Iman, Anna B., Nana Ofei, Jonathan, Kyrill, Kevin, Mei, Madiha, Sadic, our dedicated team members, and a good number of anonymous donors.

Your kindness and generosity make all the difference, and we deeply appreciate each and every one of you!

Thank you for being part of this journey with us!
