Your Donation Mattered

Dear Donor,

With all of the wonderful programs to choose from on GlobalGiving, your donation matters to us. To be specific, it matters to HER.

The young women who receive the pads may be receiving something that most women aournd the world see as a necessity but to the girls we work within India and Kenya, it is a luxury that keeps them home from school during that time of the month. Your thoughtful gesture provides peace of mind and the opportunity to attend school free to study without concern. We are distributing the pads this month to NGO's that work with girls in most need along with providing them with education on menstruation and all public health information for women.

The days pads are districuted are the days we wish we could share with you. Even if not to distribute, the public health programs give volunteers the opportunity to witness the sweet smiles and sincereity can only be found in the most unlikely settings.

Since this is a layered benefit, the women who make the pads are now earning money to live without the oppression they had endured. We like to say it's aways Win Win. It is never too late to subscribe if you have not already or to provide another one-time donation that will be so very appreciated.

If you ever want to volunteer in Kenya or India, contact me at shana@villagevolunteers.org and we can help arrange a safe and meaningful trip.

Sincerely,
