To make safe drinking water accessible to the villagers, water filters having the capacity of 12 liters each were distributed to 95 households of Symrang village in Rapti Municipality, Chitwan. Each of these water filters is fitted with a ceramic candle, which has activated carbon inside. Orientation was also provided to the villagers regarding the need to use safe drinking water, proper use of water filter and its cleaning procedure.
Ms. Dhanamaya, a local resident of Symrang village, thanked and shared “The water filter provided by ECCA has helped a lot to maintain the health of my five family members. Nowadays, we always drink water after filtration”.
