Atlas Corps Asia and Europe

Atlas Corps is continuing our work to build and empower social change leaders for the world - and we couldn’t do it without your support. While we are closing down this project page, we hope that you’ll continue to support us by reallocating your donation to Atlas Corps' other project, #BuildBridges: Support Atlas Corps Global Leaders.

Your support goes towards ensuring that Atlas Corps continues to reach leaders across the world. Leaders join Atlas Corps' community of over 1,500 emerging leaders from countries all over the world, empowering them with the skills and network to make the world a better place.

Thank you for your continued commitment to bridging opportunities and empowering tomorrow’s leaders.

Hello [donor first name],

How are you? As we continue into this new year, I’d like to take a moment to thank you for your ongoing support for our global leaders in Europe and Asia. On behalf of our Fellows, Scholars, and Alumni, THANK YOU!

Since our last update, I am excited to report that Atlas Corps has partnered with Generation to launch a Remote Fellowship Program. Generation is a global nonprofit that prepares, places, and supports people into life-changing careers that would otherwise be inaccessible. This fully remote program is an exciting opportunity for Atlas Corps to expand our engagement with global professionals. I invite you to learn more about Generation here and our partnership here.

Since then we have welcome two new Fellowship Classes:

  • Welcome Class 48 - Last month, we welcomed 5 innovative leaders, one of which is a Generation Fellow. Meet them here!
  • Welcome Class 47 - In October, we welcomed 7 motivated leaders, one of which is a Generation Fellow from Russia. Meet them here!
  • I encourage you to get to know our new Fellows here: Class 47 and Class 48.

Lastly, I have one more very important update to share with you. Please join our Team in wishing our Chief Strategy Officer an Atlas Corps Alum Abby a farewell. After 12.5 years on our Team, Abby has been a valuable team member and an inspiration to our entire Community. As an Alum she will continue to bring her positive energy to our Community. Here is a special thank you from Abby:

Atlas Corps is a special part of all of our journeys. Atlas Corps is about connecting with dynamic individuals who share a passion for possibility. Thank you, Atlas Corps Community (staff, donors, volunteers, and more) for providing me the opportunity to be a Fellow and believing in my ability to grow and lead this organization. The future is bright and I am excited to be part of it!

Thank you once again for all you have done for the Atlas Corps Community. We are grateful for your friendship and for all you do for Atlas Corps and I am excited for what this year has in store for us!

With gratitude,

Bidjan

Greetings!

How are you doing? I have some exciting news to share with you—Atlas Corps is now an official Open Gov Hub (OGH) Member! This opportunity will allow us to continue to build upon our partnership with Open Gov Hub, who has also been an amazing Host Organization over the years and further connect with their Global Affiliate Hubs, including the three that are run by Atlas Corps Alumni: Albania, Liberia, and Tunisia. Also, if you have not already done so, we encourage you to update your records with our new address:

Atlas Corps
c/o Open Gov Hub
1100 13th Street NW, Suite 800
Washington, D.C. 20005-4281

We cannot thank you enough for motivating our Leaders from Asia and Europe and helping us continue to #BuildBridges with them. Because of you, we were able to connect Fellow Daliya (Class 41, India) to our Host Organization, SAP. Daliya extends her gratitude and reflects on how the Fellowship expanded her global network through collaboration:

“I feel honored to be a part of the global CSR team at SAP and just knowing that in a way my work contributes to that scale of impact. It no longer matters if the person on the receiving end knows it or not. It’s a combined effort and all of us from all across the world are changing lives.”

As a special thank you for your support in helping us make 2022 an unforgettable year, I invite you to join us on October 18 at 12pm ET for our Fall Celebration of Service! We will be featuring all of our Fellows, Scholars, and Alumni that have begun and/or completed their service in the last few months.

Here are a few recent highlights that are worth celebrating…

We welcome new leaders into our Global Community and Atlas Corps Team, and congratulate those that completed their service:

  • Congratulations 2022 Cohort of Hilton Prize Scholars: Last we spoke in June, we welcomed 50 Hilton Prize Scholars, which included leaders from Greece, Portugal, India, Bangladesh, and many other countries. Now, thanks to your support, we will be celebrating their graduation! Meet them here.
  • Welcome Cohort 10 Scholars: These dynamic leaders from Russia and the United States will be participating in our Virtual Leadership Institute, “Leadership in Times of Change.” Meet some of them here.

Thanks to your support, we can continue to expand our Global Community through these special recruitment initiatives:

  • Virtual Leadership Institute Recruitment: Atlas Corps recently launched the recruitment campaigns for professionals in Nicaragua and climate change leaders in Spain. You are welcome to share amongst your professional networks using our social media toolkits (Nicaragua and Spain).
  • Please feel free to share amongst your professional networks!

Cheers-

Here are highlights from the blog post and video shared by our CEO Bidjan:

Three Reasons I Am Excited to Launch our #AtlasCorps2025 Strategy
Click here to read the full post

Based on my first few months getting to know Atlas Corps, I want to share with you the three reasons why I’m excited and energized to kick off the #AtlasCorps2025 strategy process in February:

  1. There is a huge sense of urgency for us to do more for young people
  2. We have a unique window to create opportunities regardless of location and background
  3. We are bringing a great team of people and organizations together for this journey

Now is an opportunity for more equity in making skills and leadership potential, rather than location, the decisive factor in hiring young talent. And we are only scratching the surface of the iceberg of talent if the Atlas Corps Alumni and the thousands of annual applicants are any indicator.

Our great team will bring their experience from the first 15 years into this process. We will work with Jesse as a coach....We are also grateful to receive the pro-bono Board Fellow advice from the Boston Consulting Group‘s Steffyn and Rifaiyat....Our Atlas Corps Board members....And Adi, a MBA students at the Georgetown University McDonough School of Business...More partners are joining soon and we will challenge ourselves every single day to be curious and think about scaling opportunities for talented young people across the globe to lead.
