everyone to spend time together peacefully.
By kei Akiba | Activity Report: May 2026 Golden Week@hibikino
Japan is currently in the midst of Golden Week, a long holiday period lasting about 10 days.
Since schools are closed and it’s a time off, we value opportunities for children and students to gather and learn in a safe environment.
There are many children who face disabilities or financial hardships. We want to create as many opportunities as possible for everyone to spend time together peacefully.
We also run a small food bank on the university campus, providing food assistance through our food pantry program. It was a truly enjoyable time, with international students and local children playing together, sharing snacks, and spending time together.

"Rispo" and "Michikusa."
By Naoko Nishida | Project Leader
We are involved in the food bank activity "KUKINOUMI KODOMO FOOD BANK" and
the Children's Cafeteria (KODOMOSYOKUDOU). Through these activities,
we can all cherish food that would otherwise be thrown away.
We work together with many families with children and local residents.
We operate on the campus of universities such as the University of Kitakyushu,
Kyushu Institute of Technology, and Waseda University.
Many international students are studying here, and we work with them every day.
Local university and high school students help out as volunteers with our activities.
To the GlobalGiving team: This is tASOBI to MANABI laboratory (59094)
We have fun working with many children and young people. This is our 12th year of running a children's cafeteria, and we also support a nearby children's cafeteria.
Your generous support allows us to provide delicious meals and fun experiences to children who cannot leave their current home. We are truly grateful.

Japan is an aging country, but the area where we operate is home to a large number of children.
