Challenge

As of 2015, Kitakyushu has the largest infant population in Kitakyushu City, but support for families raising children is very poor as bases for community development such as elementary schools, civic centers, and neighborhood associations are still under construction. The daily living environment of children is still underdeveloped.

Solution

We hope to improve the child-rearing environment through research and applying practices related to children's play and learning. Though our activities, parents, children, and neighbors have gathered, played and learned while forming meaningful connections. This will contribute to the healthy growth of children and parents and support community development.

Long-Term Impact

A town where children can live and grow up with peace of mind is also a town where people of all generations can live peacefully and richly across generations. We truly aim to be a Child Friendly City where children can live healthy lives.
