As we explained in our last report, the Art Classes had to be postponed due to unforeseen circumstances in Cajolá. We have now set the date of January 11th - February 5th for the four weeks of art classes.
Marlon Davila is the artist who will be leading the classes. He loves working with children and recently taught some fourth graders through copying some paintings of Frida Kahlo and Picasso!
Since is visit last year to Cajolá he has been in touch with several of the students that volunteered with him to paint the mural, along with one young man still in grade school who he is giving virtual classes to!
So, we are waiting for next January to roll around when Marlon will return to give the art classes.
P.S. He will be in Cajolá this September to paint the mural on the Indigenous Mayors' building.
We are still looking for funds, please donate!
Gracias
Caryn
