Please take a closer look at the faces of these frightened and traumatized young children; can you imagine what they have suffered over the past few years at the hands of their own parents?

Six year old GK and his younger sisters, five year old KB, three year old EB and six month old EJ (not in picture) were embraced by the love of our staff at Angel House and after four months with us, they are slowly recovering from the physical and emotional abuse that they endured before being rescued from their home.

Their parents were arrested for child abuse and are currently being held in jail until their trial; the Philippine justice system moves slowly and we may have to wait for a year before finding out the verdict. Our focus remains on the children and giving them counseling, love and care in an environment that will enable to them to become happy, playful children once again.

Your support for Angel House Orphanage Foundation through Global Giving enabled our professional team to rescue these vulnerable children from an abusive environment and give them the hope of a better future. With good nutrition, medical care, education and most of all, love, these wonderful little angels will fly free once again into a world that is peaceful and caring.

Hi, my name is PJ and I am two years old, everyone says that I am very beautiful with my curly brown hair and sparkling eyes. I arrived at Angel House in April, 2013 aged 11 months because my mother could no longer care for me. Although I was always happy and loved while staying with many others in Angel House, I always dreamed of having my own mommy and daddy to take care of me. In February of this year my wish finally came true and my new mommy and daddy came all the way from Spain to meet me and take me home with them. I am so happy to have parents that love and care for me and a new extended family that make me feel so welcome. My new life starts here in a new country with my loving family.

My name is GL and I am also two years old, a boy with a calm and easygoing personality that everyone loves. I came to Angel House when I was only three weeks old and so it has been my loving home for most of my short life. In May of this year my adoptive parents arrived from Sweden and of course they instantly fell in love with me, I’m irresistible! It has been their dream for many years to have a family and now they have a beautiful son that they can be so proud of. I am one lucky boy to have this new start in life with parents that love and care for me.

Angel House has made the dreams of these two children a reality, as well as fulfilling the dreams of parents desperate to have a child and become a family. Right now we have seventeen children staying with us and eight of them are also being prepared for adoption.

Your donations to Angel House through Global Giving make these dreams come true! They enable our professional team of staff to help children recover from their traumatic past and prepare them for a brighter future with a family that will love and care for them. We look forward to your continuing partnership in our efforts to restore the basic rights of these innocent little children.

We all take our sense of hearing for granted; the ability to hear the crashing of waves on the seashore, listening to your favorite music on the radio, understanding the instructions of your teacher at school. The ability to hear is also vital to the development of language and without it you are unable to participate in conversation or even tell your parents how well you did in school that day.

December was a month that Six year old Jessica will remember forever; the first time in her life that she could hear all the wonderful sounds of this world, including the sound of her own voice. Thanks to your donations through Global Giving, Angel House was able to purchase digital hearing aids that will give Jessica a brighter future. Watching her face light up as she experienced sound clearly was a special moment for all of us. Your donations will also provide important speech therapy for Jessica as she learns to communicate, learning how to make all the different sounds that make up speech.

Jessica is just one of 12 children that are staying with us at Angel House and are provided with a warm and loving home as we prepare them for a better future with a family that will care for them. Some like Jessica will return to relatives, while others need new families that will love and support them.

We are so grateful for your support for Angel House and the important work that we do with these small vulnerable children; your donations help our professional team of staff to provide the best possible care for them as they recover from their past and look forward to a brighter future. We hope that you will continue to provide support for our little angels through your donations on the Global Giving website.

Thirty year old Jackie admits that he made some serious mistakes during his relationship with the mother of his young son, behavior that resulted in her leaving their home with their young son and seeking refuge at a government center for victims of domestic violence. This is how one year old D arrived in Angel House last April for care and protection, while his young mother tried to find a place to stay and work to make a better future for her child.

Having to cope without his only son by his side was difficult for Jackie and it was only after both parents had received professional counseling that an agreement was reached for him to be re-united with his young son. After staying with us for more than six months, one year old D was re-united with his father once more in a very emotional meeting; tears flowed freely from Jackie’s face as he hugged and kissed his beautiful little boy once again.

One year old D is just one of 14 children that are staying with us at Angel House and are provided with a warm and loving home as we prepare them for a better future with a family that will care for them. Some of our children need new families and next month two year old PJ will be joining her new adoptive parents in Spain, while four year old L will be going to his new parents in Canada early next year.
