Dear Friends,
Across Syria, many vulnerable families continue to face a daily struggle to put enough food on the table. Years of displacement, economic hardship, limited livelihood opportunities, and the rising cost of basic necessities have left many households with very few options.
For parents, this often means making painful choices between food, medicine, transportation, and other essential needs. For children, food insecurity can affect not only their health and nutrition, but also their ability to learn, grow, and feel secure.
Through the Alleviating Hunger in Syria project, Salam Humanitarian Foundation (SHF) remains committed to standing alongside vulnerable families and responding to their most urgent food needs.
Your generosity has already made a meaningful difference. Through previous food assistance activities, SHF has reached hundreds of vulnerable households, including 465 families in communities across Idlib countryside and the outskirts of Aleppo, providing essential food items and helping families meet some of their most immediate needs.
The Need Continues
Although every food basket provides important relief, the need remains much greater than the available resources.
Many families continue to live with unstable or extremely limited incomes. Families headed by women, households caring for persons with disabilities, older people, displaced families, and other highly vulnerable households are particularly affected.
Our team continues to follow humanitarian needs and prioritize the families facing the greatest difficulties so that future assistance can reach those who need it most.
More Than a Food Basket
For a family struggling with hunger, receiving food assistance means more than having something to eat.
It means a mother can prepare a meal for her children without worrying about where tomorrow's food will come from.
It means a father does not have to skip another meal so his children can eat.
And it reminds families who have endured years of hardship that they have not been forgotten.
Help Us Reach the Next Family
Our project has now raised more than $69,000 toward its $100,000 goal, but thousands of vulnerable families across Syria continue to need support.
Every donation—large or small—brings us closer to another family.
Your contribution can help provide essential food items such as flour, rice, lentils, cooking oil, sugar, and other staples that families depend on every day.
Thank you for continuing to stand with the people of Syria.
Together, we can turn compassion into food, dignity, and hope.
With gratitude,
Salam Humanitarian Foundation (SHF)
