Mobile Health Unit Serving Flood-Affectees

By Muhammad Imad Ud Din | Project Leader

Title: Mobile Health Unit Serving Monsoon Flood-Affected Families in Sheikhupura

Summary

Alkhidmat Foundation's Mobile Health Unit (MHU) provided free healthcare services to monsoon flood-affected families in District Sheikhupura, Punjab, ensuring timely medical care for vulnerable communities. A total of 140 patients received free medical consultations, medicines, and essential healthcare support.

Story / Update

Heavy monsoon rains and flooding have disrupted the lives of many families in District Sheikhupura, leaving vulnerable communities at increased risk of waterborne diseases, infections, and other health complications. With limited access to healthcare facilities, timely medical assistance is essential.

In response, Alkhidmat Foundation's Mobile Health Unit reached flood-affected areas to provide free medical consultations, essential medicines, and primary healthcare services directly to those in need. A team of qualified healthcare professionals treated 140 patients, including women, children, and elderly individuals, helping to prevent disease outbreaks and address urgent medical needs.

By bringing healthcare directly to affected communities, the Mobile Health Unit ensured that families received lifesaving treatment without the need to travel long distances. This initiative reflects Alkhidmat's ongoing commitment to delivering rapid and compassionate humanitarian assistance during emergencies.
