In addition to a strong health clinic, Achon Uganda Children's Fund supports a Youth Sports Program in Otuke District of Northern Uganda.
If you know the story of Julius Achon, our founder, you know that Sport was the mechanism that allowed him to expand his life. Sport took Julius around the world, allowed him to obtain a college education, and eventually led him back to Uganda to support the community he was raised in.
We are investing to expand this program to include a running club and soccer club + tournament. In November, we will host a cross country running event. This event, which draws over 5,000 young runners and 10,000 people, costs us over $7,500 to host. Your contribution will enable us expand the size of the event to attract more children.
